Rachael Durie is the Executive Director of Spectrum Mothers, where she is committed to ensuring mothers feel supported, seen, and strengthened during life’s most demanding seasons. She believes that early, compassionate support can change the trajectory of a family and leads the organization with a focus on prevention, dignity, and community-based care. Rachael brings over a decade of experience in public policy and business. She was a partner in her family-owned consulting firm specializing in real estate development, large-scale infrastructure projects, and partnerships with Indigenous communities. Earlier in her career, she worked in the Canadian federal government across several departments—including Public Safety, International Trade, Treasury Board Secretariat, and Natural Resources Canada—where she served as an advisor in the Minister’s office. She holds strong public policy interests in healthcare, finance, natural resources, and urban development, and brings a strategic, systems-level perspective to her leadership at Spectrum Mothers. Rachael is also a living kidney donor and an advocate for organ donation and transplant research through her work with ODTRF. This work is deeply personal and reflects her broader commitment to care, community, and supporting others through complex life experiences. Through her leadership, Spectrum Mothers continues to grow as a trusted, community-based resource—offering practical support, connection, and stability to mothers and families when they need it most. |
